Re: Driver Eligibility & Tires

The following rules change is in effect June 9th 2006 for the Fast & Furious Four Division as follows:

INTRODUCTION: Fast & Furious Fours is non-point division for the entry-level driver. To be eligible, drivers must not have competed in the prior year in any other division on the half-mile track at Concord Motorsport Park or in any other higher form of automobile racing, unless first approved by track management. The track management has the right to accept or decline any entry at any time for any reason. All drivers competing in the Fast & Furious Fours division must have a Competitor’s Registration. / Information Form on file in the track office and complete driver’s sign-in for each and every event. This division is not sanctioned by NASCAR.

80.10.4 Wheels, Tires
b. Tires must be stock passenger radial tires only. Tires must be no less than sixty (60) series aspect ratio or metric equivalent. No fancy, exotic gumball   tires allowed. NO grooving of tires. No camber cutting of the tire treads. Maximum tolerance of three thirty-seconds (3/32) allowed. If, prior to the feature event, the track officials note greater tolerance, the official in charge may let the competitor rotate the tires from side to side and still compete, provided tires are branded to prevent switching. Domestic cars only will be permitted to use a fifteen (15) inch tire but size must be 195/70/15, 195/65/15 or 195/60/15.
d. Stock steel wheels only. Wheels must be twelve (12), thirteen (13) or fourteen (14) inch wheels. Aftermarket steel replacement wheels approved, but must be inexpensive street type. No racing wheels. Six (6) inches maximum width. NO aluminum or alloy wheels are allowed. Domestic cars will be permitted to run a fifteen (15) inch steel wheel with a maximum of six (6) inches. Tire size must be between 195/60/15 and 195/70/15 series.
