NASCAR RACING WEEKS AWAY AT CONCORD MOTORSPORT PARK
CONCORD, N.C. – The roar of engines and the excitement of NASCAR racing will
fill the air when Concord Motorsport Park kicks off the 2006 racing season
Saturday, April 1.
The NASCAR Coca Cola late model stock division will be in the spotlight for
this season with $2,000 up for grabs for the winner of the 150-lap opening
night race. A strong field of drivers is expected all hoping to start the season
in victory lane.
The Tommy Johnson’s Motorsports Warehouse limited late model division will
compete in a 35-lap feature and if last season was any indication the racing
will be extremely competitive. Also on the program will be a 25-lap feature
for the Golden Gait Trailer Sales pure stocks and a 15-lap feature for the
fast-and-furious fours.
Opening night is one of the most exciting events of the season with the cars
fully prepared, the drivers anxious to get racing and fans ready to feel the
excitement that only NASCAR racing can deliver.
The speedway is a state-of-the-art half mile triangular-shaped track geared
toward families with a playground and arcade on site. But, the focus of
attention is always the excitement of stock cars racing fender-to-fender at speeds
well over 100 miles per hour.
Concord Motorsport Park is located on highway 601 north of Midland and south
of Concord. More information is available by calling (704) 782-4221 or online
