2006 BRINGS EXCITEMENT TO CONCORD MOTORSPORT PARK
CONCORD, N.C. – With 2005 winding down and the holiday season here, one can’ t help but think about the excitement 2006 will bring. For racers and fans at Concord Motorsport Park the new season will bring a focused enthusiasm on action-packed NASCAR stock car racing.

The NASCAR late model stock division has produced outstanding competition over the past year and has been elevated to the premier class of cars racing at the speedway throughout next season. The division will be featured in eight 150-lap feature contests spread throughout the year starting on opening night, April 1.

The late model stock racers will have 100-lap feature on other Saturday night’s during the year. Joining them in weekly competition will be the limited late models, pure stocks and the fast and furious fours. The Virginia Mini Cup Cars and 600 Racing thunder roadsters will make a limited number of appearances during the year as well.

The USAR Hooter Pro Cup series returns to the track on April 29 and the season will end on the weekend of Nov. 2-4 with the North-South Shootout. Regular weekly shows will run through Saturday, Oct. 7.

A complete schedule, prize money amounts, and rules are in the final stages of completion and will be released soon.
