CONCORD MOTORSPORT PARK CHANGES FEATURE DIVISION TIRE
CONCORD, N.C. – The management of Concord Motorsport Park today announced a change in the approved tire for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series feature division.
Effective April 12, 2008 the Town & Country Ford Late Model Stock Car division will compete on Hoosier F45 tires, replacing the Hoosier 2045 tire.
Gary Freeman of Hoosier Asphalt South stated that “This F45 tire is a newer design and is a clearly superior tire.”
The speedway is scheduling a special Late Model Stock Car only practice session from 4:00 PM until dark on Thursday April 10, 2008. There is no charge for pit passes but admission to the infield is limited to competing Late Model Stock Car drivers, owners and crews who pre-register for the practice session no later than Tuesday April 8th by 4:00 PM. Registrants must be competitors who are registered with the speedway to compete in the feature division.
The J R D Earthworks Limited Late Model division is not yet effected by the change. The Limited Late Models race on used feature division tires rented through the speedway. A date will be announced soon to when the limited cars will change to the Hoosier F45.
